Strategy for this week's antiquated rune boss?
Anyone have any strategy suggestions for this week's antiquated rune boss at court of oryx? (Eye of something?)
I ran it twice today. We got the first big ogre killed but our team (randoms) ran out of time then on the 2nd one and it failed.
I've got two more charged antiquated runes plys an uncharged one but I don't want to waste them not knowing how to beat this one.
Thanks for any help.
Update: lots of people posted great help and tips here. Thanks to everyone, mentioning that here in case I missed anyone. :-)

Solo it... Have one guy shoot the eyes, have him snipe the ogres then go sword the wizard to death Peace of cake

Kill all the little shity eyes. Kill the big ogre. Then a storm caller warlock super can take almost all of her health down on its own. If you don't kill her first go. Rinse and repeat.

4 RepliesIt's easy strat. Kill all the eyes,focus on the big ogre. As soon as it's dead jump up and smash her back doors in with swords, she dies very quickly

Easy one. Solo'd it back when it first came out. Primary scout to are out the eyes, snipe main ogre/other ogres that spawn. Just hide behind rock for cover. Rush witch with sword or whatever else when her shield goes down.

The large ogre at the top is giving the witch a shield, so he needs to go before you try to damage the witch. Now depending on how things are going, you can kill an eye or two then take out the troublesome ogres in the arena, then concentrate on the big fella. Remember that once the buff runs out to get another eye down. Once the big guy goes throw everything you have at the witch. Snipers are great on the ogres. Swords smash the witch. You may not have time to run this more than twice if the big ogre returns. If you do fail you do not lose the rune. You just have to wait for the summoners exhaustion to expire.

3 RepliesIf you think you're not going to be able to finish it, die and don't go back in. This will return the rune, so you won't waste it.

3 RepliesThere is a nice little solo gig you can do... Start it up and hide behind the stone on the top platform. Kill the eyes at the top (ideally 3 but 2 works) then snipe the ogre from the gap in the centre of the stone. Once down Tether the wizard if you can and sword his ass :) I used Hammers on him after punching him but a tether and sword would melt him. Helps to have a distractor or two down in the bottom areas :)

1 ReplyWhat they said. Take out the acolyte eyes to get ogre damage buff. As soon as they spawn. And they keep resp awning. Then kill ogres quick. Then super/sword the witch immediately after killing too ogre. Usually done in one cycle. Easy if people know the mechanics.

1 ReplyEdited by PhoenixlSlash: 1/25/2016 8:33:40 AMI usually solo this one. Use your primary to take out 3 or so of the orbs (These will give a massive damage buff to Ogres). Use a Sniper to kill the Ogre in a few shots. Then run right up to the Wizard and unload your Super, then slash away with a good sword (I use the Void Legendary). Usually takes under a minute. Edit: You only need to kill the giant Ogre on the top platform to DPS the Wizard.

3 RepliesEdited by Heidegger: 1/25/2016 9:02:25 AMYour a hunter so Have tether Zhalo or Juju helps with generating super quicker if your doing it solo Anyways before the boss spawns you rush underneath the platform it spawns and kill the acolyte eyes. Two ogre should spawn kill them than focus on the ogre next to the boss by slighting poking out from the bottom and shooting it with either zhalo or Juju. Once you kill yellow health ogre jump on the platform tether her and maul her and with heavy machine gun bullets. Rinse and repeat Edit: I added a video of soling it as a warlock so you can see a visual aid of the spot I mentioned.

If u fail it won't use ur rune. Kill big ogre with sniper. Then use raze lighter or other sword. Takes me 3 shots of raze to kill her.

Have someone outside the court with a sniper it's easy to hit anything without taking damage. Not the entrance but over to the sides where you approach from the breach.
