  • SBMM causes the most lag, because it is your K/D or skill > connection

  • Did you read their update...they intend to fix that. 1) When I am joining a match...and it's a 3v3 or rumble...and I see lag...I leave and rejoin a new match until I see all green bars. 2) I found out that people lag switch...So say for instance you join a match and everyone connection is good...People can all of a sudden turn on other aps or use their laptop to lag themselves. (since getting into trials this past few months..I met people that do that to win.) Here is the thing...I like playing with people with similar skill or higher than mine...I dont want to play people are are worse than me...I want to get better...and in order for me to do that..I want to play my competition or better....I do that...but asking a friend of mine who is in top 1% to host matches. I don't do as well as I like...but I noticed when I solo host and play my competition I am usually in the top of leaderboards. You guys listen most of these top players are like politicians....They are posting these long drawn out posts about SBMM makes it lag....But the real thing is...they want the matches to have some scrubbs in there to boost their stats....and practice loadouts on. I am not stupid...I know the lag is the reason they use...but when or IF bungie find a way to fix lag + keep it SBMM they will still cry..and say "I want a laid back game...every game is sweaty.." yea yea yea...they just want to -blam!- scrubs.

  • Yeah, I agree on that man, but we also need a casual game mode also. Most people like playing PvP for fun....... Shocking I now right. So it would be better if we have a mode just to chill and not really care about. Not everyone like sweating their ass off to win one match.

  • I dont understand though.... How can you determine playing for fun? Because that would mean you really want private matches. With out SBMM matches were lopsided....So say for instance you are just getting off work...and you say you just want to get on CLASH and have some fun...Without SBMM.....some new guys join your squad...and you are now faced off against a team of 6 dudes who has a DTR average of 45...now you arent having fun...you are getting butt r@ped by TLW and MIDA. Like I said...I have fun in SBMM when I solo....when I am sweating...is when I join up with friends who are top 1% players..when I play with them...I am struggling to get and maintain a 1.0 K/D. At the same time...my best friend from college just got Destiny a month ago...when I play crucible with him and another one of our new friends...I average a 4.0 K/D because I am playing his Skill base. I am not sure where you rank KrishnaTheBeast but the top 1% players who are posting in these forums are brainwashing people...They are tired of playing each other...they want scrubbs to beat up on...their 5.0 K/D from year 1 is now 1.7...And they are pissed about it...blaming connection...and I do believe there are connection issues...to me it's the same as year 1 for me...but that's because I am an average player... Bungie should just fix it so you ping connection first then SBMM...matches may take a minute longer to start...but it will fix the issue of connection...but not lag switchers.

  • I'm OK with SBMM, if maybe the "meta" expands beyond 5 guns.
