Well, kinda. But not easier due to playing easier opponents. Easier due to less laggy lobbies. All skill based matchmaking does is pit you against people across the globe, creating insane lag. Skill obtained (or lost) due to lag is no skill at all. SKill based matchmaking does nothing if lag is part of the equation.
