I am still a new player to Destiny, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. However, in Crucible I am an average/not so skilled player. The constant struggle of playing at 100% in every match is stressful, and frustrating. It's not letting me improve as a player when I end up getting 3 kills and 12 deaths because a scarab emblem is on the other team with 6400 points to my 350. How does someone get better when the ceiling is now moving away from you? I don't know how to get better when I'm constantly an dead orb. The other part I find really hard, is being a new player with friends that have played this game since year 1, or longer. They are very skilled, and know the maps, the guns, the meta. So of course I want to play with them. The problem with this, is my scrubby .06 k/d to their 1.8-2.5 k/d isn't helping me have fun either. Which forces me to play solo if I want a snowballs chance in hell to get a kill. So where does that leave me?
