SBMM has sucked out whatever life there was left in the Crucible. Pre-TTK, when everyone used Thorn or TLW, it was a great feeling to punish the lesser players, once you had discerned who was good and who wasn't. Now, when everyone [i]still[/i] uses TLW, for a player like me, there's no point even trying when I know that I will lose almost every fair engagement because I don't want to conform to the meta. What if I want to mess around using NLB and a Fusion Rifle? SBMM decides that I should go against 3/6 tryhards that I wouldn't be winning against no matter what I used, NLB just makes it more humiliating for me and significantly easier for them. What happens on the off-chance that you improve? You'll get put against even better players that will most likely crush your hopes of further improvement.
