Why would I try doing that when I've already seen a variation of light lvls when I was 317+ ?
There were several cases where people would be in teams of 2-6 and they had their friends of different light lvls.
Your own light lvl makes absolutely no difference outside of the small dmg output. If that had been the case, it would been all over this forum and last IB would've been a complete mess.

Not everything gets put on the Bungie fourms. Simply because if it gives an advantage, and goes on the forum, it gets "fixed". I didn't think it would make any difference, but in my experience, it did. I only played 3 matches that way, and I can't say that gives it proof of working, but those 3 matches were filled with lower light players. With this being posted now, I guess more will try doing this, with that in mind I regret saying anything about it, but I am sure if more try it, the forums will now tell the tale.
