Bungie plz read, idea for new PVE content and more playability

Note for bungie staff: Hi my name is darkvoice7 and I have an idea that I would like to share with you for a new game type. I understand that you sift through hundreds of ideas on a regular basis but I hope you will take the short amount of time to read through mine. I'm not asking or begging you to add this to your game but I would greatly appreciate an acknowledgement if you did read this. The reason for me creating this idea is that after completing the story and doing the raids. My friends and I find that when we log on our first question is "what should we do?" and after awhile we found ourselves wondering if it's worth logging in to play other than just crucible, or running the stuff we have already finished just for the sake of it and possible other loot we still need. My idea is a new 2 type strike playlist. Elite and champion versions of existing strikes. Each version would have its own reputation gauge to level up in order for unlocking the abilities to buy gear, weapons, class items and shaders. While both elite and champion versions having their own different items. Which all would require their identical currencies which would be capped off to 30 a day, or 10 per strike. Both playlist would have random modifiers that would change each strike, and would be nightfall tier in difficulty. The elite version would be the playlist for the people that want to prove they are the best of the best. Which would be done by entering the elite playlist that would be solo only with fireteams disabled. Gear could be obtained from drop but would differ from the vendor sets. The champion version would be fireteams allowed with optional matchmaking. With the dropped gear again differing from the vendor sets. Modifiers ideas: Sickness- enemies will poison you if they get close Lone primary- enemies only take damage from primary weapons Immunity- enemies can only be finished off with abilities or melee Back up- enemies only take damage from secondary weapons Gear set ideas. I had an idea for the elite gear sets but I don't know if they are being saved for a later iron banner set or not. So... Titan- gladiator arena armor Hunter- ninja battle armor (kinda like ninja garden style) Warlock- witch doctor/shaman styled armor And For the champion armor sets I was thinking subclass based armor. Armor that would reflect the role of each subclass. Like titan defender could have a big shield on his back... Just an example. I know this is just an idea and I don't expect everyone to like it but I thought it would be something that lots of people would do, and would also require a player to do this on a regular basis on top of the current stuff for cool looking armor and stuff. Thanks for your time and patience if you read through this. And I hope you can at least acknowledge that you read this even if you don't think it would work. Darkvoice7 a guardian.

  • I like the idea of lone primary, however there is definitely not enough special ammo to go around in order to complete a strike by only using secondary weapons.

Immunity is a terrible modifier. Nightfalls will take forever to finish

    • I like it but... No to the Elite idea. The elite idea is basically the same thing as me soloing the nightfall and get crap for all the work I did. I don't want to be stuck for over an hour playing the Undying Mind strike by myself and have to play for weeks to get another set of gear I don't have vault space for or get screwed and get a horn kit, emote, or 17 strange coins. Now a 6 man elite strikes with difficulty higher than the nightfall, I'd be in for that but a 1 man with crap rewards and triple RNG, I'd pass

So... how about we capitalize on the armor customization ideas here? Class-based designs, not Vendor-based. I've always felt like Bungie has tapped into some unique designs and then others that are basic, weird and not quite orderly (I'm talking about non-symmetrical designs, those really irk me unless there's a significantly badass ornament that is the disruption to my symmetry. But when it's just for the sake of being different and not matching, it looks stupid Bungie. Honest feedback.) For instance, Titans want to look bulky. Intimidating. Making us incredibly round and aerodynamic doesn't accomplish that, and for all the idea of 'agility' behind the aerodynamic designs, we're really not all that fast and you make this painfully obvious in PvP when we're faced up against #BlinkMasterRace. So make us look grotesque and unfriendly. Warlocks. They're the class that should have the unsymmetrical designs; always defying basic thinking, commonly accepted laws of the universe (like my insanely bad OCD for symmetry, for instance,) which could inspire some interesting designs. You accomplished that with the Devouring Maw, for instance. It was a nice looking piece and the particle effects were just enough to re-invision the Prison of Elders Warlock armor without seeming distasteful. Hunters should be all about blending with the environment, looking sleek and also intimidating. I'm not saying put them in ghillie suits, but invoke the sense of sleek stealthiness. The new Hunter Bladedancer Exotic Chest Piece is a really good example for 'good' Hunter design. I've always felt like Bungie just slaps the logos of different Vendors on guns from older xpacs and pretends that's now how it went down at all. Exotics aside, nothing truly felt new this expansion. For the first week maybe, because you were so used to staring at the same thing for months. But after a month or so in, we all realized it was the same trap.

I've moved this into the Feedback section for you. There's definitely some creative ideas in here. Keep up the good work. However, make sure to post in the Feedback section for this kind of thing. The Destiny category is for general discussions on the game, but Feedback is where you can go to suggest changes, additions, and so on.

        • Or my suggestion to make it for the super elite would be make it a time trial. Make a leader board and if you hold the top of the leaderboard you get something insane. Like a solid gold shader or something like that. And from the boss instead of getting actual gear because some people want to use the raid gear for bonuses and such, you get a transmog set. A super badass set of gear that looks badass but you get the looks of it while keeping your stats of your other armour.

Thank to all the people that posted feedback :-) and thank you to all the silent hero's that liked the post. The more likes the better the chances that someone from bungie might read this. (couldn't edit since I met mentor justice and had it moved to feedback lol)

                    • I feel bad for this dude. Probably wasted a good few hours on this topic and no ones going to read it. Let alone Bungie, hahahah!

                        • This will be the first time I've ever commented on one of these posts. Those are actually really great ideas. Hopefully they listen or at least read what you have to say.
