I see so many posts about how The Division will be Destiny's biggest competition. It will disappoint just like the rest of the games. It's a third person shooter made by Ubisoft. I've played Assassins Creed and Watchdogs. The shooting is terrible. I'm sure they improved it but it won't be anything close to a fps combat wise. Now let's see what all the haters have to say.

Edited by Charliebigchip: 2/2/2016 1:00:21 PMYou do realise this is not the same studio that made Watchdogs yeah?? And this studio (Massive Entertainment) hasn't developed an Assassins Creed title since 2011 (Revelations) so using these two games running on totally different and obsolete engines (by today's standard) are not really relevant as benchmarks to compare the division to. If you did want to use an Ubi game as a mechanics comparison i would say it will be more like Ghost Recon which, IMO, was pretty slick on the shooting mechanics and it was a TPS. But, having said that, what do i know as i have not played the launch version of the Division yet, and neither have you! EDIT: Been rinsing the Beta since the 29th and what i have experienced so far I love it!! Mechanics are smooth and, as i mentioned earlier, are heavily influenced by ghost recon which is not a bad thing by any stretch. I would recommend that any Destiny defender actually take a leap of faith and play it before bashing it and, as rumor has it, there will be an open beta in mid Feb.

It'll be another game that gets ran over by the hype train.
-
Last good ubisoft game = splinter cell chaos theory. Have a nice day
-
Your dad already failed to pull out and had you as a child. Damn.
-
People are just overhyping it, don't they know what happens when you do that already?
-
Too bullet spongy... 5/7
-
The only people that it will disappoint are the fools like yourself that expect an rpg with guns to be anything like a FPS. The game is not meant to be a FPS you dumbass.
-
Bad bait is bad. Op is lettuce.
-
I'm calling strong pre-orders, abysmal sales after launch. 6-7/10 reviews for the most part, and more downgrades from the trailers and beta. Cmon guys, it's an Ubisoft game, that exact scenario literally happened in AC Unity Watch Dogs The Crew All in the same year.

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 1/21/2016 4:27:54 AMDude, Destiny isn't even competing with itself. Deej has basically been on vacation since Thanksgiving; I actually checked today to see if "community manager" was on their job opening list. It's not, but 52 others are, many of which are for senior and/or leads. They might as well have shuttered the windows at HQ and set their away message to, "check back with us in June."

Your father failed too. #teampullout
-
Well that's just your opinion man.
-
I see you haven't played the Alpha...hehe!
-
But it isn't an fps.... so yeah, you're right lol, but it has literally never even shown any fps combat or claimed to be an fps or tried so your point literally means nothing
-
Feels like b8 but I'll bite. Destiny is a shooter with 1-2 rpg elements, the division is a rpg with guns.
-
I'm staying optimistic since Destiny is stale as rock hard bread so The Division can't be any worse off.
-
The game won't be bad but the hype will kill it
-
Assassins Creed is solid. Watch Dogs is solid. I actually downloaded the latter last night to play again, coincidentally. The Division also looks solid. But yes, you're super hip for hating on popular things, we know. The hippest.
-
Lol so you are comparing the shooting in assassins creed to an actual tactical shooter? Lol. Watch dogs had decent shooting compared to any other third person shooter. Just how you don't like all the posts saying it will kill destiny I don't like the ones saying it will fail. The Division will not kill destiny or any other game. No game single handedly kills any other game so that statement is just idiotic. The Division will be a successful game but by no means will be the most revolutionary, most incredible game ever made.

Edited by bing9873: 1/19/2016 2:48:29 AMMmmh, have you played rainbow six? Not a lot to it, but the mechanics are there and you can't judge something until you actually played it. A lot of Tom Clancys games have been quite successful and the oldies are still goodies

For we have been the the Cold War *whispers in the wind "destiny" "destiny" "destiny"* For we have been fooled by the corrupt King *whispers in the wind "bungie" "bungie" "bungie"* For we were taxed far too much but fought this corrupt King *whispers in the wind "the dark below" "house of wolves" "the taken King"* We shall stand tall and await this Division, and we shall stand our ground, or have peace when they come. Keep your weapons ready, just in case this "Division" lies to us and tries to murder us all.

Edited by Teligth: 1/19/2016 11:23:19 PMIt's not supposed to be a fps you nimrod #wittman #hater

Edited by BodybyEBT: 1/19/2016 10:48:25 PMI was watching game play videos and they were shooting enemies like 15 times before they would drop, the enemies also had like RPG style health bars above them. I found this really annoying I was wondering if anyone knows if they may have changed that up or anything? Thank you in advance -blam!-ers.
-
I'm very sceptical as well
-
I've been telling people this but none of them listen
-
Why worry about division? The day after it releases, you kids are going to be like you hyped, for the next game?
