I have only done the cheese 2 times. Once just to try it, because Yolo. The second time, I was trying to help a friend through the raid, and he just kept dying...
So we threw him in the middle for the cheese. He still died, but we were at least able to still finish it without him that way :-P
The cheese can be drastically easier, but only if you have at least 3 good people on your team that are good enough to carry.
One good person on each totem and the other to carry the middle group.

You can easily four man totems. There's no reason to do the cheese, because everyone has been doing it legitimately already.

When King's Fall was first released, everyone completed the Totems legitimately. This cheese only started surfacing a few months ago (give or take). It's just another strategy that has to be learned, thus taking longer to complete the checkpoint. For the vast majority of the players in this game, the regular strategy is actually faster and more efficient than having to learn a new one, just for the sake of doing it. We've all done King's Fall for the first time at some point without a cheese. We've all had to deal with the constant deaths. It's a part of the game. If you're helping players through the raid, I wouldn't suggest cheesing it to be a part of their first learning experience.
