While a K/D above one is most likely an indication of a good player, a low K/D is not necessarily an indication of a bad player. Quests and Bounties that force you to use weapons and game-modes that you do not enjoy or perhaps even care about can drag down your K/D. For example, if you did the Chaperone and First Curse Quests on all three characters before the shortcuts were known or Imprecation was double-buffed and/or Sparrow Racing came along, then your K/D was impacted to a higher degree than anyone who completed them after those things happened. Team members can have a significant impact on your K/D. I have helped a person with significant physical disabilities complete their ToO Bounties which reflected negatively on my K/D and I have been to the lighthouse a few times when playing with really good players which boosts my K/D. Perhaps the biggest influence on K/D is the time you spend learning the game and getting good at it, which varies from person to person and can carry so much weight that it could take a very long time consistently playing with a K/D above 1.0 for your life-average to also go positive. TLDR: High K/D = good player Low K/D = Indeterminate with respect to current skill level in many cases Good Luck Guardian!
