"Hope, it is the greatest strength yet also the greatest weakness of humans". Like you said we hoped that despite Destiny lacking so badly in content and the obvious glaring issues that a phoenix would arise from this pile of ashes... yeah nothing came up the ashes are still burning. This pathetic infusion system is THE WORST thing the Devs at Bungie came up with. Granted I could understand from a con's point of view that it would keep us playing and grinding, but with no progression and replaying what little content is relevant in order to gradually get higher light level was just a terrible idea. In the least if Bungie hopes to get close to redeeming themselves they have to bring back ALL year one content including what exotics got left behind too. I understand they're focusing more on Destiny 2 development, but in the least they need to keep us playing for fun and progression by bringing back what content they cut. I wanna see Atheon burn again, I wanna cut Crota down to size again, and I wanna blow off the head of Skolas: The 'Traitor' Kell of Kells knowing I'll get loot that will be up to par! Even if Destiny 2 does give us what we wanted and saw from Bungie back in 2012 and 2013 they made a terrible first impression and kept giving us the middle finger over and over with what they've done to negatively impact this game. Including the amount of times the advertisements and promises made that were total lies, micro managing our guns by extensively nerfing them, not admitting mistakes or trying to properly correct them like with the Mythoclast and overall auto rifle class nerf, cutting content and selling it to us overpriced, and I could go on to make a book about how bad the Devs have treated us and their game. In short Bungie has to wow us 110% with Destiny 2, show us what will be in game AT THE START, make exploration actually mean explore what we see, add in extensive and brilliant content, no more RNG grinding, not letting PvP dictate what gets nerfed or minutely buffed, way better story IN GAME, no more 'SBMM' system for PvP, and to cut the list short show us better communication and care for the fans and players of Destiny.

  • Someone else in the thread put it pretty succinctly when they said that in year one they raided to get great new weapons and in year two, they raid to raise their Light Level.

Yeah I hear that from a lot of people too unfortunately. I myself raided in the past for cool gear and fun, nowadays it's a race to getting to 320 light... that's not how people should think of the raid, it shouldn't be a total chore there needs to be an element of fun or excitement. Like when my buddies and I first killed Oryx on normal that was awesome! And then completing the raid on hard hours before the first weekly reset so that we could say we did it in the first week was a great feeling! Now it's just 'meh if we can get peeps together lets try to get it done'... you know if I played VoG right now I wouldn't give a f**k about the gear, it'd be fun to play it, hell even soloing Crota raid would be a fun challenge again. Oryx raid however is just 'pfft lets get the mob spam raid outta the way and do something else fun'.
