I'm just saying statistically speaking 1.0 is slightly above average, that doesn't translate to how much help they are in a team setting

But if everyone is a 1.0, no one would win a match. It'd be a tie. I think the better representation would be win %. Granted some people could be carried, but if you average over a 50% you have to be doing something to help your team to win.
