Putting this game away.

Call me when the next big live team update goes up. As of late all I'm noticing when I play Destiny are the negatives. I've been playing since the Beta. I find myself only doing the heroic raid challenge encounters for all three of my characters (all 3 classes) and skipping the rest of the raid. I do the daughters and totems every now and then when i feel a bit more motivated for a chance at 320 class items and ghost shells. Seems like mindless routine by now, and I've completely abandoned the dailies, weeklies, and nightfall. Just feels... soulless now. Empty. I'm able to reach 319 on all my characters, and I'm starting to wonder if 320 is even worth trying for. Jaded. Burnt out. Maybe. Probably. And then we have the Crucible; with the matchmaking system of that would drive any sane person mad. I can't count all the times I get placed into a match in progress, thrown into a team that's under 3000 points, with zero capture zones. Or with 3 minutes or even less left in the match. And then the deserters, to wonder why we're down by so much and realize there's only 3 of us left in the team. So I tough it out, maybe if I stay here and endure the inevitable loss, the lobby gets filled up with new people in queue, and a completely fresh game will start - NOPE - placed in another match in progress. Seriously. -blam!- you, Bungie. And the lag. I have 58down, so when there's some fishy shit going on (the ever invincible, ever teleporting guardians), I know it's definitely the strawberry redbars in the list that's at fault. The only time I want to see red and green in alternating sequence would be on my Christmas lights, not my pvp score list. Going in solo is the worst thing in the world as well, just make the Crucible voice chat on by default so I can communicate with my team who aren't in a party. More often than not, I'm placed with a team who for the life of me cannot work together and pull off a win. They did something to the matchmaking, Bungie denies it, but all my matches are sweaty now, there's no such thing as casual crucible anymore; if I want to play some sweaty matches, I'll do that over the weekend in Trials. Combine all of that into one single match, and not even Call of Duty can make me spit out language that would scare my dear mother to hell. I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm some kind of psychopath with serious anger issues. Oddly enough, it's only when I load into crucible solo that I seriously rage to a point that throwing my controller at my TV is a very real option. Anyway, this game is now just sweet poison. Like a dark brew bitter beer that get's you that good feeling, and the worst tasting puke the next morning. I've clearly burnt myself out of it, and in need of a break. I love this game, too much for my own good it seems. When the next live update comes, I'll give it a shot, for a week... SRL. But when my clanmates call for a sixth raider, or a sweaty trials run, I'll be in orbit for them. But for the most part, I'll be waiting for, or playing The Division... ...until Destiny 2 drops in. TL;DR: Enjoy this Stormcaller meleeing me from 30 feet away from around the corner; that's when I called it quits, Destiny. :) http://xboxclips.com/ColossalSqvid/0dd0ee4d-471e-4bc7-ab6f-d705eccb9fef/embed
