An Awakening of Sorts - Let us Call it... the Beginning Ashuna, Near a Bandit Encampment Heart pounding, branches reaching, a thrill. The thrill of being chased by a raiding party. "Thanks life. So I guess this wasn't the best idea... but hey, I got some parts for my project, right?", thought Cryo, running along the floor of the jungle as the shouts grew ever closer. "Damn I gotta exercise more," he thought, stopping along the side of a river. River. "Won't find my tracks if I do this..." He ran through the water, cold and refreshing, chilling his bare chest. It was a relief from the unbearable heat; unbearable for others, I meant. Cryo liked it. Filled the void in his heart made by the one's he used to trust. Made him feel alive, made him remember he could FEEL. People weren't good to him, especially those darn women. He didn't trust 'em. From the setting of the jungle came an odd creature, much out of place from the rest of it. A pure white wolf, like an angel from heaven, graced the jungle floor with it's speedy steps and light pants, barely reaching the fine-tuned ears of Cryo. It's fur wasn't dirtied somehow, and it ran right into the river with Cryo, almost tackling him. He laughed for a moment, before looking to the creature seriously. "We can't stay here, bud. I know we just met, but, it's time to go. Don't want you to end up with them again after all that trouble getting you out." The wolf nodded, seeming to understand. His shirt wasn't on, sweat glistening off his toned body from years of building and innovating; the dirty rag he called a shirt was tied around his waist, ripped clothes rigged into loose fitting pants on his legs. Grease was smeared on his body along with sweat, giving him a dirty look, but it had it's own charm to it. A home-made holster held his Five-Seven around his chest, bouncing as he ran. The shouts got louder until Cryo heard the bark of the wolf once more, and he ran to it. Two bandits surrounded the wolf with sharp looking spears, and Cryo drew his pistol and took a silenced shot at one, hitting him in the leg. The wolf jumped to rip the other's neck out, then jumped to the next to do the same. "You got a temper there, wolfy," Cryo said, before running again. He heard the party advancing, and the wolf motioned it's blood-stained muzzle to a rather thick looking tree. Cryo nodded, climbing the tree quickly, and perching himself on a branch. The wolf quickly rolled in mud, covering it's fur, then dove into some underbrush. The bandit party advanced, and they didn't see them. Yet.
Open af
