AFKing in STRIKES
Unlocked my quest for the New Monarchy Exotic class item on my Warlock yesterday. Ran my 10 strikes in Heroic and I noticed something. Almost every strike had someone AFK and grab rewards at the end. Some guys were trying to be clever and would scoot forward, shoot, then hide once we engaged the enemy. Heroic strikes aren't ball-busting, but running them with only 2 as opposed to a full team can be painful.
The worst strike I had by far had a guardian named (had to remove name but will post vid tomorrow). If you see him in strikes, just leave. If you see him in crucible, own him. This piece of siht did nothing but tuck himself into corners and shoot only when we were looking. He was completely absent and hiding in a nook in the wall at the boss. Then when the boss died, guess what dropped?

I had as many assists as he had kills.(29, I had 139 kills at the end) And he gets the one gun I still haven't managed to get. Bungie, you need to do something to stop people from cruising through strike playlists and reaping the rewards because this is stupid. And it's like this a for almost every strike I join.

When I was farming grasp of malok toward end of the month wheb ttk first dropped....I joined so many strikes that would drop me either right at or right before her deathblow scream and id get a legendary engram or some ridiculous shit with no kills or any contribution. Actually got heart of praxic fire from her as well....but I main a titan and only play as a titan. I ended up getting grasp of malok on like the 22nd strike attempt. Dropped me in the strike with her at like 1/4 health...I had armamentarium on tossed 2 lightning grenades and unloaded 4th horseman on her. Got the final deathblow and malok dropped for me. She was my only kill. The 2 other guys were in the 290s and got squat. I was a douche too and sent them a message saying thanks for doing the heavy lifting, I was bored or running the strike for past 2 days

1 ReplyI spent 40 min doing septkis prime because a afker didn't want to help. So I spent 90% of that time punching, shooting and throwing grenades at him until he messaged me that I need to go outside more then he left. Haha. Made me laugh. Another time I wasn't even doing a strike and noticed someone afking in the group he was in so I spent the whole time smacking him. He told me to piss off and I told him nope and continued.

2 RepliesI had a guy cheese under the Warsat, then go afk all through the rest of the strike ( except to catch up at checkpoints), and jumped around the boss fight letting us respawn him ( I quit after doing it twice in a minute ). He was still ko'd when we beat the giant electro turnip. It was a nightfall. Me and one guy got some shit (don't remember what), afk dude got nada.

3 RepliesI remember in the HoW i was doing the sepiks strike but the other two left. I thought i would leave but figured i could use a challenge so kept going. I get to sepiks and two guys join and well they were afk behind a wall. I end up killing the boss by myself after dying a few times. As soon as the boss dies they run to get the loot and one gets a legendary engram and the other gets a mida from the reward screen. They message me saying "loser thanks for the free loot scrub"

3 RepliesWas in the Valus strike with two guys who just wanted to -blam!- around and kept trying to run me over with the interceptors. I eventually got on my sparrow and went into Valus's room and sat on the lamp. I think they thought I left because they started killed the guards after that. I sniped Valus and got a legendary hand cannon. They spawned in for the next strike and bailed. I lol'd. I tried to have a little fun. Tried sitting on the interceptors and crap. But they just wouldn't stop.

The worst part is people say just leave; but with the vanguard streaks you can't just "leave". You ruin the streak.

I know the feeling dude, but I was 4 years old and the game was Super Mario. All yoshi did was run and then die. No help at all. Had to run mushroom kingdom solo after that. And no end game reward!!!

1 ReplyFor those nuggets that are giving you shit about being legitimately afk, failed to realize that we see the people run and hide. They aren't in the same spot not moving. You can clearly see the difference in most situations. I played with a few and they don't do shit but make sure they play the boss.

6 RepliesLike someone said down below its not that they are completely afk it's just that they don't play most of the strike and let others carry them to the end then show up for the boss fight. I see this all the time and I mean all the time guys. There's not much of an argument there and if you look back at my strikes completed you'll see just what I mean

3 RepliesIt's horrible on PS4, never had so many AFK idiots in over one year on X1 as in the last 3 weeks. I don't get why they get not booted after 2 minutes inactivity. Almost every other shooter does it, why not Destiny?!

They have usually gone by then. Except for one dude who sent me a text telling me I was a Dick for not playing. He did not play all the way to the boss. Me and my team mate stopped there and went to the toilet then just chatted about shit for all eternity. We watched him attacking and punching us to get a response. He threw grenades and shot us. It was so funny. He eventually left.
