Hi Griver I would just like to mention that Destiny uses a p2p based system so it does not actually have dedicated servers for Multiplayer play. If you are experiencing lag it is from either a poor host, others in the game lagging and bringing down the quality of every ones connection, or local network issues. That being said as Ghoul mentioned this would be be suited for #feedback as there it would be able to reach the right people easier.

  • Hi TeH KaGeNeKo, Thanks for the clarification, but there still have to be some back-end server processing going on where the data is sent to? Judging by the polling votes, about 85% of users do experience problems. My main issue is the damage processing delays which in all honesty corrupt the match results, I don't experience other players characters jitter that much, but damage processing is way off by up to 4-5 seconds sometimes. I hope you agree that in multiplayer setting that's a bit too much. So in my mind (and due to total absence of technical insight into Destiny hosting system) either the algorithms behind the scenes need to be updated or the matchmaking should be far stricter geographically/connection wise. Personally, I'd wait extra n-seconds BEFORE the match, so that the system will establish proper and reliable P2P, than playing with the horrible lag and wasting the same time during the process of the game. Final point on this: Since there is a HUGE emphasis in Destiny on multiplayer (Crucible, Iron Banner events, etc) that experience should be nearly flawless, again I don't remember having the same problems last year, so that's why I'm raising this subject. Sincerely, Griver
