I think that'd be pretty neat, but I don't know how you'd fan the hammer if you were holding two guns.

  • Oh no. You wouldn't hold them as in a legit dual wield. You would switch from one to the other, but you'd switch from TLW in the right hand to TFC in the left hand. And it'd be cool in third person if TFC was visible on your left hip and TLW was visible on your right at the same time.

Ah, just one at a time. That works for me. For the record: If what you're suggesting was in the game, I would use no other guns for the rest of Destiny. Ever. Also, I remember dual wielding two Falcon 2's in Perfect Dark (N64)... such a great game.

  • Yea. I wouldnt either. Not with my main character at least. I love both those weapons. Perfect Dark was what got me introduced to FPS. The laptop gun was my favorite. That gun def wouldnt fly in Destiny. lol

  • The laptop gun was awesome. The little turrets were great, but the sound it made was enough of a reason to use it. I got into FPSs with Goldeneye, but later embraced Perfect Dark as its spiritual successor. Remember the area specific damage? You shot a guy in the leg and he would limp afterwards. Why don't more FPSs do that now?

  • Good question on area specific damage. Surely the technology today could still handle that detail. I sucked at Golden Eye. I liked the weapon variety and coop in Perfect Dark. What a ground breaking game. Both of them.

  • They really were groundbreaking. I'd spend hours shooting AI bots in the Perfect Dark multiplayer. It even had "smart slow motion" that would kick in when you got close to an enemy. It was the first bullet time that I'd seen in a game.

  • Oh yea. Perfect Dark's multiplayet will probably never be recreated again. Bots with actual personalities was hilarious and fun. I always had a "Peace Sim" on the hardest settings in every match.

  • I forgot about their personalities.... Wasn't there a revenge sim? I think I used those the most. I don't think I ever put a peace sim on the hardest AI. Sounds like a good idea though. Otherwise they tended to be unstoppable killing machines unless you teamed up and trapped them. Slo-mo really helped too. There was a Matrix vibe going on where you had to slow down time to beat the "Agent". I'd also put the alien heads on them then shoot crossbow bolts in their heads. They'd run around with two or three sticking out.

  • Yea. Revenge sim. Coward Sim. Perfect Sim and some others. I wont lie, i sucked worse at that game than this one. I could only win by leaving proximity mines all over the place. Good times. Good times.

  • Oh man, I know what you mean. My friend and I would use a hallway full of remote mines with a proxy at the end. That way, if they came in a group, the leader would trigger the proximity mine and it would set off all the mines behind him and take out his teammates. That was before they hit the laptop turrets... Even then it was a toss up. Good times indeed.
