A golden solution for a golden problem

Meaningless explanation: I am a full time Hunter, part time Gunslinger. I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction provided by the Golden Gun, whether it be stopping a stormtranced warlock or a sunbreaking titan, or destroying a major enemy with a resounding blast. It is a reliable damage dealer. That being said, (mostly in pvp but occasionally in pve) I can get the immediate kill, but then have to rush around frantically to find another target, lest I waste the crucial 1-2 powerful shots. Actual suggestion: Change a perk to grant extended golden gun time for the first kill or all kills with the golden gun. While not being a universal boost to the amount of time, this would be based on your aim and situation, making it not too OP as a universal buff. This could give more time to find other targets, and not be forced to rush headlong into what could be a fatal confrontation due to said rushed approach. Other supers share similar perks, so it is not unheard of. This may be a terrible idea, but I hope it could at least be considered.

  • As a full-time gunslinger, I have to disagree. The tradeoff for the sheer killing power is time and no damage resistance. Honestly, Golden Gun is the perfect example of how a super should be. The good and bad are clearly defined.

    • No. It's fine, if you don't want to risk running around looking for people you have to take the risk of activating with multiple people around you. That's what the radar is for.

    • Honestly, i think that the gunslinger class is fine as it is, the perfect balance of power and vulnerability. I think the time frame really puts you in a position where you have to think about how to best use your special.

      • The issue with this is simple. Golden Gun is a Ranged, 1 shot kill super that has 0 (or close to) travel time. The low duration is the only thing that stops it from being too powerful. Personally I'd advocate a 30% armour buff while in Super to alleviate the issue of getting taken out before you can do anything useful. And for the record...I detest Hunters in all shapes and forms lol

        • New ability: Dastard. Your golden gun grants an armour bonus but fires fewer shots Smoulder. Your golden gun has longer duration but fires fewer shots. Basically give up shots for abilities that make the GG more noob friendly, without making it op for experts.

        • "have to rush around frantically to find another target" and other duration supers don't share this problem? GG is an instant kill on enemy site, the others have to close in for the kill. You don't deserve more time.

          • Golden gun fine and the hunter class it self is fine and here why: 1. They three supers that can kill unlike Titans and warlocks 2. Each super has more then one shot, where the Titans and warlocks only have one super that isn't one use only

            • GG doesn't need any sort of buff. It's already borderline overpowered as it is.

              • In PvE you are not obligated to use all three shots. Your hunters life is not forfeit should you only use one or two shots. That is not how it works. It's for generating orbs for other players, or helping you out in a tough situation. I would agree to a very slight time boost per precision kill though. Reward hunters for actually being precise.
