Signed,it's arguably the only useful gunslinger exotic for pvp and Bungie decides that it's the only one that needs a "trade off"?

They're trying to not create a "one Exotic rules all" scenario which kills diversity. Achlyophage was pretty much the only Gunslinger Exotic you saw back in Year 1 used, just like how The Ram became the one to rule all when House of Wolves was released..Now that they're both nerfed other Exotics get their time in the sun. Gotta accept the fact that Symbiote is more of a PvE Exotic now and is no longer the easy mode PvP one.

I think the solution should of just been to add more exotics to benefit gunslinger in pvp(there are only 2) but we both know they're probably not gonna do that with no dlc coming out.

Well considering you get 7 trip mines every 3 mins I would say that's gonna get you a lot more kills n assist then 1 extra GG shot every 4-5 mins. But I'm really bad at math so I guess 1 could be greater then 11-14

Yep max discipline with those arms = 2x trip mines that last longer and refil every 25 seconds. In mayhem I've gone on 5-10 kill streaks with nothing but rooms full of trip mines

But how is it fair that it's the only exotic with a trade off. Gg already doesn't have extra armor, why make the super short? The gunslinger subclass is all about lining up the perfect shot while this change adds haste to the super.

The gunslinger subclass is all about lining up the perfect shot while this change adds haste to the super.[/quote] Why would Golden Gun get extra armor when Golden Gun has 0 travel time, is affected by aim assist AND bullet magnetism, is an instant kill to EVERY other super minus Ward of Dawn, can be extended with Throwing knife kills, can use Keyhole to Penetrate, can use Over the Horizon to use it from sniper range, Combustion kills anyone close enough to be tickled, and Gunfighter makes it the fastest charging super in the game with a 3:30 cooldown?

I'm not saying it should have extra armor(in fact I believe adding extra armor is the stupidest change Bungie could possibly make to golden gun). The point I want to make is that exotics have always benefited the player, there was never a trade off. I believe exotics should always add benefits never hinder the way they play. I'd be totally fine with achlyophage's changes if the other exotics already had trade offs(and no I'm not saying they should).

The hit detection on gg is stupid high so accuracy isn't needed that much. Also you pretty much get 4 instant kill bullets and you have a super perk to get it much faster.

Then Bungie should nerf the subclass itself, not the exotic. I'm just arguing the role exotics play in destiny, what subclasses do and don't do is a whole different story.

nothing manacles tracking nerf hit pretty hard, ram was nerfed yet i don't complain it's still viable just have to play smarter like how i do with the exotics i named
