It was as stupid as auto-rifles being a "close range" weapon, it makes no sense, it really isn't helpful by itself, nobody asked
-
You ever try to hit a moving target with a fully automatic rifle at 50 yards? 20? I didnt think so. Youre not putting a lot of shots on target. A fully automatic weapon is never a long range weapon, i dont care who you are.
-
Most of them are. Mini-guns will do quite some damage from any range, as long as you hit enough shots. Assault rifles IRL will carry a large bullet quite a ways away, as long as you can't hit your target. Only things with quite a kick or are generally small won't hit from to far ranges if they're automatic.
-
Dissagree. I dont care if its a full auto .22 youre not hitting anything at range with it. And sure, anti air turrets can hit at range, but theyre made to fill the air with lead, not land hits accurately. There's a reason rifles have single, burst, and auto fire modes, I'll put it that way.
-
I say a good, high power assault rifle like the AK-47 could hit something at maybe 50m or about maybe 100m but not as effectively than at about 20m-40m...
-
Nor as effectively if it were burst or single fire. This is my point. And you would just never even suggest that if you had ever fired a 7.62mm round out of an ak47
-
I know it's a high power gun and it can deal some major damage, even outside of recommended ranges. Of course they're not ideal against things like single shot, long range weapons but they'll still do something. And no. I haven't fired a gun of any kind.
-
Of course, they'll still do something, in the same way that rain makes things wet. But when youre trying to kill someone before they kill you, the single/burst fire is going to hit at range a hell of a lot faster than any auto. A 9mm will kill at over 500yards, but youre not killing anything with a full auto glock at that range. You use a carbine. Its just not feasible to expect an auto to deal the full amount of damage that you put in the air. Thats why the damag drop off at a distance. It may look like youre aiming at them, but that doesnt mean youre hitting them
-
Apparently you're supposed to aim a little above the target. But yeah. A carbine would definitely kill something from a decent range and assault rifles probably could but never anything smaller than an Uzi. It just won't hit hard enough.
-
It was stupid, do I think it should be long range? No. Was it? Everything was long range in PvP before 2.0 came. Now I just cannot try if I know they are too far away, because at least 70% of players use only scouts because of it, and I don't use scouts because I don't want to HAVE to use a certain weapon, but now I feel more handicapped than ever before if I'm not
-
Ive been using a doctrine of passing just fine, and that has the shittiest range and impact possible. Its fine. Autos are good on small maps in tight engaments. Scouts are good on sightlines. I swap between that and an NL Shadow, those are my two main competition arms. This is the best sandbox weve played in.
-
This the worst, are you joking? The Häkke pulses are GARBAGE because of a nerf, DoP is the only real competitive auto rifle, that's why you say that in the first place, scouts were NEVER nerfed, so now MIDA is the best because of it's fast fire rate and impact combo that NO OTHER scout can live up to, handcannons are difficult to aim now, understandably yes they should be difficult, but at least on par with others, and pulse rifles are so bad if you don't have max range or high impact, special weapons are really dominating since you do get plenty of ammo and can effectively 1 shot almost at all times, and heavy ammo on machine guns are a complaint because primaries cannot equally compete like they used to, where if you worked for it, you got the other guy and didn't need to worry about a huge score gap over it. And because all the hunters got mad GG wasn't one shotting something, HoS is now almost useless and actually bugged/not effective because of certain radius nerfs. I could go on even further, but I'm not, and I am done here
-
Obviously, you should just quit.
-
Obviously you don't see what's going on, and trust me, I'd I could afford a ps4, I would never play this again
