I hope you realize that if PlayStation got an extension, so would Xbox, and thus people would complain about Xbox having more time than them.
But if they somehow were able to [i]not[/i] extend Xbox, and extend IB only for PlayStation, then people would complain that Xbox wasn't extended too.
Thus, Bungie does nothing.
