A private match system is one of the things the community is fairly certain Bungie is working on, even though nobody at Bungie has directly confirmed there will be private matches at any point in the game' lifetime. I would be hopeful for them to come around, though

I thought so, its just I never heard anyone in the Destiny community ever ask or talk about it.

It has been one of the most fiercely requested features from the Destiny competitive community and Bungie definitely knows this
