Runs faster than he thought physically possible. He hears a shot ring out. Imperial soliders march into the town, shooting who they can't take as a hostage. he stops and drops to his knees. A knife comes to his neck, cold and unforgiving. A mechanical voice says[/b] "[u]do you enjoy the slaughter, oh child of corra. Do you enjoy knowing your kind is hopelessly being destroyed in these very moments, these moments where you could have saved them, saved them those many years ago.[/u]" [b]a man with a short beard approaches the solider from behind, bashing the synthetic across the face with a pipe, he takes the knife from his throat and pulls him to his feet, putting his arm around his shoulder. He cries as the man speaks.[/b] "I apologize, oh child of corra. How my own kin betray their fellow lives. How they hunt you down in your villages, shooting your leaders and stealing your people. I see at your level, oh child of corra. I humbly apologize for your mistreatment, I humbly place myself in your position.. That of a peasant, a Shepard, a wanderer. The future beyond you lays darkness, a period of prolonged suffering, one you would not have to endure had the mind of our people not be so corrupt. I humbly apologize, oh child of corra, for you must save your kind from the unforgiving grasp of man" [b]the ground shakes, he sees the ships leaving and a mushroom cloud developing on the horizon as the remaining people awaits the enevitable. He screams for the man, but he has already dissapeared into the treeline. The rolling shroud of death approaches him and he is engulfed by it. Lucas awakes in a cot near his destroyed home town on corra, in a state of utter shock[/b] [spoiler]open[/spoiler]
