Siphon had been checking out the VR deck by himself when the attack began. Multiple hits to the Avalon's hull caused the whole ship to shake and the VR systems to malfunction, catching Siphon's attention. Grabbing for his sniper, he exited the VR room, wondering who in all of space would dare attack a ship this infinitesimally large. He was almost immediately met by imperial soldiers and practically caught off guard. Siphon shot two in the head before diving straight back into the VR room to get to cover from returning fire.
