Rest assured, I have no autism despite the common belief. It is basically the interest of anthropomorphic animals (or animals given human qualities). Like most fandoms there of course are the small percentage of crazy ones who take it one step further and are in it for sexual purposes, but don't worry. Most of us are perfectly normal human beings with what is seen as an odd interest.

For example if someone is seen as having intense interests, that is not necessarily autism. They could just be a diehard fan for a cause or team or whatever. If they aren't social or they prefer to be alone, they could be shy, just wanting to be alone for what they are doing or going through depression. Aggressive behavior can also be linked to depression or just other behavioral issues. If a person has a issues with learning, they could have something like dyslexia or ADHD. Basically you can't tell everything from one interest someone has
