[b][u]VR Room[/u][/b]
[b]Anumi is finally able to relax in the VR room. It's been awhile. She hasn't felt this eased in a very long time. She lets the shallow water wash over her and soak her clothes and skin. It's her favorite setting. A glowing lake filled with lotus flowers and luminescent blossoms. Why is she at such ease? Damien stands in the back corner, leaned against the wall, asleep. He was tired so she let him rest, though he hadn't meant to fall asleep. He commanded such strength that few things dared disturb him. Anumi basks in the glow of her surroundings, celebrating New Year's in a quiet and peaceful way.[/b]

[b]Annabelle walks in, wearing nothing more than a [u]slightly[/u] too tight bathing suit[/b]

[spoiler]Shes not in the goddamn thing yet.[/spoiler] [b]Anumi has seemingly dozed off. Damien eyes Annabelle. His gaze follows her steps. He frowns under his mask.[/b]

[spoiler]what[/spoiler] [b]She silently whispers[/b] "Hi"

[b]He gives a curt nod and approaches Anumi. He lightly taps on her knee until her eyes flutter open.[/b] [i]"I am going to leave. It's becoming, unstable..."[/i] [b]He slowly trods out of the room, and disappears down the hall.[/b]

[b]She lowers herself into the water, creating a silent splash[/b]

[b]Anumi watches Damien leave. She almost longs for him to stay. But she remains where she is, still enjoying the comfort of the space.[/b]

[b]She closes her eyes[/b]

[i][u]"So... You new here?"[/u][/i] [b]Anumi tries to break up the awkward silence.[/b]

"Yep, and you?"

[i][u]"Kinda. Been here since the first mission."[/u][/i]

"Aha"

[b]Frost once again floats in the water, completely silent[/b]

[b]Anumi hasn't quite noticed him. She's almost completely submerged. The plants in the water seem to orbit her as if they are attracted to her.[/b]

[b]He keeps silent and starts to float above the water, creating a splash[/b]

[b]It startles Anumi from her spot. She blinks her eyes to adjust to the darkness.[/b]

[b]Anumi wipes her eyes and sits up.[/b] [i][u]"Hello..."[/u][/i]

"I see your brain implosion is gone"

[i][u]"Yeah... The doctor didn't really tell anyone..."[/u][/i] [b]She flicks her eyes to the man in the corner.[/b]

"Damien, right?"

[i][u]"Yeah. An old friend..."[/u][/i]

[b]Anumi lays back in the water and it runs over her body once more. It soaks into her hair and drenches her clothes. It's a nice scene. She seems quite content here.[/b]
