I think Cabal are unlikely to turn traitor, though it's perhaps possible, and Vex never could. A Psion would be better.

The Cabal didn't and wouldn't betray in any other circumstances. Since the Guardian was sympathetic for the Cabal, it joined her cause.

Sure. I just found it less probable than the Vandal pirate breaking ranks, or, indeed, the Psion. Since the Psions were subjugated by the Cabal I think they would be more likely to turn if a valid opportunity arose.

If I had chose Psions instead there wouldn't be a thing that makes them unique like the other two classes have.

I'm not convinced by the Vex Guardian, which seems to me like an immune cell being convinced to turn against its body by an enterprising paramecium. Let the Psion take on its attributes, and be powers-orientated.

So make there be two Cabal races? Hell no. If you had actually read the damn Vex story, it was HACKED. It did not willingly go against its programming, and it didn't even do that. It followed its programming because someone overwrote it. I'm not making there two Cabal races just because you can't understand the basic premises of machines. Maybe they are slightly biological, but if that meant they couldn't be hacked, then the premise of all Vex sharing one mind among their division would not work. They are biological in order to make them lightweight. If they were completely metal, they would be at least 500 pounds, aka a not smart weight for a soldier.
