I like them not to be arrogant and think that somehow they're famous!!!
I heard one today say how thrilled he was to meet a fan at a convention who was wearing one of his t-shirts but who then went on to say what an experience it had been for the fan implying, somehow, that it had been almost a religious experience to meet someone who makes YouTube videos!!!.
My thoughts on the arrogance shown by that individual are, on a family forum, unprintable!

I totally think it would be cool to meet my fans. I don't think people should go so far as to think they are celebrities though

I can understand you thinking it cool if you meet a fan wearing your t-shirt. But to then imply that the fan was star struck and it was an almost religious experience smacks of (a) colossal arrogance as in "look at me, I'm a star" or (b) a fan with an exceptionally sad and shallow life. It's someone who posts YouTube videos fer crissakes!!
