After everyone was accounted for, seated and listening, the Admiral began his briefing.
"alright people, listen up. I don't know half a thing about any of you, but I know one thing.
You were never on anyone's agenda. And that, means that you're the unknown Variable in the equation."
A holographic display then appeared, showing a gruesome creature.
"this is a Borgaan Drone. A disgusting meld of a machine and somebody who was once alive. And trust me, they have loads more of these. This is the fate of every soul in the Galaxy if we fail to defeat them again. And then they will come back, and we will have to repeat the cycle over and over again. But this time, we draw the line. This ends now. And for this, I need you. Each of you is talented enough to have survived the perils of your home Galaxy. Now I'm wondering, are you tough enough to survive ours?
The Borgaan 'Capital' as we'll call it was the former Pantoran colony of Vega Majoris. They have been building a weapon there, and in doing so, have exposed themselves just enough for us. They are constructing a Mothership of tremendous designs, and are downloading their collective right into it's heart. The Progenitor Vessel will be the size of a planet itself, accompanied by a wave of capital ships that are directly imbedded into it.
During it's download it will be at it's weakest. A single body must carry the fail safe, sort of like a Borgaan king or queen. If we can kill that king and halt the download, that just might do it. We will be downloading a virus into their collective as well to root out any final trace of their existence and annihilate it.
Gentlemen, I realize that what I'm asking you is to commit Genocide, but I do believe that for a species that survives off of genocide, that is an acceptable Outcome. Any questions?"

They saw Commodore Archer stepping in front of the Doctor, seemingly trying to defuse the situation.
-
*Silver walks over to him after the engagement with Doc "Thank you. Sorry about having to meet under these circumstances. Icier isn't the best at making friends. I just never expected him to make an enemy this quickly."-Silver
-
"as long as he can keep his cool on the field, we won't have an issue."
-
"He is many things, but a hothead in battle is not one of them."-Silver
-
"good. I know you lot are only a bunch of mercenaries, but when I say shoot, you say how much. When I say jump you say how high. If you flinch in battle, know that the enemy won't. And they won't hesitate to kill you, even if you show them mercy. And if you ever think of insubordination? I'll introduce you to my little friend Punisher over there."
-
"We met him. And don't worry about us. Me and Icier are Alliance Commandos. We know how to follow orders, how to fight enemies that outnumber us a million to one, and what happens when we show mercy to beings like the Borgaans."-Silver
-
"heh. I could almost offer you a job as a Knight. You'd maybe survive it." He scoffs, visibly content of this silver fellow.
-
"Sounds fun. If we ever come back here, I'd be happy to join."-Silver *Icier looks at them both, and then checks his HUD for any alerts. He makes his way to the fighter while Silver and the Commodore talk

Ryo noticed the three talking. He decided to join in. " What was the Exalin crew like?"
-
"They we're different"
-
" Do they live up to the legends around them? Or do they exceed them?"
-
"Depends"
-
" Depends on what?"
-
"What we were up against"
-
" Fair enough. What do you think about the guys that are here now?"
-
"I don't know"
-
" You aren't one for conversation, are you?"
-
"Not anymore"
-
" Why not?"
