Anumi wakes up, dangling by a leg from a large tree. She glances around at the scene in front of her... It's dark and cold. She's alone though, just... Well, she doesn't know where. Her head is bleeding and her skin has several deep cuts along it. Tears well up in her eyes as something crawls from the shadows towards her, a grin on its face.
"Where are your heroes now? Your gods? Your friends? They are gone... All gone... My... If only Damien could see this... I would love to hear spew stupid and then die trying to commit... And Val? She's dead... Killed her... And Caldon... Well... He's dead... And the rest... I killed them all... Don't you see? After you... I'm all that's left..."
Malform sits down, wide eyed at his work. The rag in Anumi's mouth keeps her from screaming. The tears flow freely now. This is it. Death. She knows Malform. To him, it's just a game gone to far. But he enjoys it. This wasn't Lucien anymore.
"Dearest girl... Gentle woman... How sad it must be to see your end... Right before your eyes..."
Malform pulls out a sharpened rock and approaches Anumi. He slowly pushes it into her stomach. His smile seems to encapsulate his face.
"Farewell..."
He leaves her, dangling... Slowly bleeding out...

Anumi doesn't turn around or speak but she waits patiently for the offer.
-
"We could visit any memory you have or could have had, and I mean every single goddamn memory you will have, have had, and could've had"
-
"No! I don't want to go back to my past! And I don't want to see the future..."
-
"Don't like your current past? We could go to a different time line you's past, the options are quite literally infinite"
-
Anumi thinks for a moment. "No. I don't want to see anything from the past... What could have happened... How much better it could be..." She seems wistful, almost lost in thought.
-
"I could replace your memories with happier ones, I could alter them too, memories are my specialty"
-
Anumi shakes her head, her sense of impatience returning in a hurry. "Masking the truth doesn't make it disappear. Now please... Let me out... I need to go back..."
-
He flicks his fingers and they're back in the forest "I feel like I'd do good if I brought you here"
-
She blinks and looks around. The place seems empty and deserted. Footsteps approach the two.
-
He opens a portal, and grabs Anumi, holding her close, just in case
-
Lucien pushes through the bushes, holding his head. Nine syringes protrude from his leg and another few are in his neck. "I, uh, think... Think I'm better... Gonna... Not... Do the thing..."
-
he growls silently "You"
-
"Yeah... Me... I just need... Some sleep..." Lucien sits down and pushes some hair back from his eyes. Anumi backs away slowly, uncertain if it's a trick or not.
-
He pushes her into the portal and closes it, leaving her alone in his private pocket dimension
-
She frowns but understands his worry. Meanwhile, Lucien wipes his eyes. "Don't say it... I hate myself too... And no, suicide doesn't work... And no I am happy..."
-
"Never said I hated you, I know your problem though"
-
Lucien shrugs. "Please don't relate... It just... Never is quite the same... I just want to get back on the ship and make more suppressors..."
-
"I meant that I could possibly help"
-
"No... I'm not dragging more people into this... Besides... I don't need help..."
-
"Mental help, your mind is being plagued, is it not?"
-
Lucien lays back onto a log. "Yeah... But I don't want help... It would be a waste... Y'see... Once I figure out what can kill me... That's it... It's a sealed deal."
-
"It wasn't a request" he walks over to Lucien and presses his hands against his head, his eyes glowing a bright green
-
Lucien sits still. His face borders on terrifying at the absolute nothingness in precedes.
-
"Open your mind to me"
-
"It's a blank slate, go right on in."
