[i] Suddenly his figure blurs in front of her and solidifies, as he is in front of her.[/i] "Where are you going." [i] He says it oddly more like a statement then a question.[/i]

[i] She glares at him,[/i] " I know what I felt and now I am going to find someone who doesn't think I'm crazy!"

"I didn't say I thought you were crazy. And what, you're gonna wander off into the jungle with nothing but that toothpick?" [i] He glances at the Wakizashi.[/i] "There's a lot of dangerous things out there, and I'm probably the most dangerous one here. So if you don't want to get eaten by God knows what out there, it'd be a good idea to stick with me." [i] He says, those icy blue eyes staring right through her.[/i]

" FIrst you think I need a shrink now you say I can't look after myself." [i]Shes dithering, she's angry and she wants to find help but it goes against her nature to disobey anyone in seniority. She ebbs up so angry her armour closes around her and she draws her sword [/i]

[i] In one fluid motion Ronin holds a white and gold katana, the blade humming with blue energy, and he holds it down to his side.[/i] "I know that you can take care of yourself. I can see it in your eyes. But trust me Echo, although you know virtually nothing about me, I'm someone you want on your side, more so than anyone out here." [i] He steps closer to her, maybe 6 inches of space between them as Ronin looks down at her from his height of 6'2".[/i]

You ever wonder why your out here all alone Ronin, because I think I know." [i]she spits the words like daggers , as she vaults back firing 4 shots about knee height , she's aiming to get out of the clearing.[/i]

[i]The bullets meaninglessly glance off his armor, his figure blurs and she finds herself on her back, his katana at her throat and his knee on her stomach, pressing down lightly.[/i] "Echo, if you'd let me help you, I will. Stop acting irrationally, and calm. down." [i] He says, calmly and soothingly.[/i]

[i] She refuses his hand an won"t look at at him . she is still prickling with rage[/i]

[i] He kneels next to her, putting his hand on the side of her face and turning her eyes to his.[/i] "Hey, I'm sorry ok?" [i] He says softly.[/i]

[i]she is so incensed that she doesn't know how to respond to him touching her,she just stares at him in shock.[/i]

[i] His hand stays on her face, his touch cool and his hands smooth, despite him obviously being a warrior. His icy blue eyes gaze at her.[/i] "Seriously Echo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you or upset you."

[i]Still furious she glares at him, but unable to do anything . She wants to pull away , but instead she just sits there, as her eyes drop and she catches herself just before she leans into him.. [/i]

[i] He sees the small movement and smiles.[/i] "We okay?"

[i] She nods feebly , inwardly she is in turmoil, now not only angry with him , but with herself for not just being strong enough to walk away. She stays staring at the floor.[/i]

[i] He stands up again and holds his hand out for her once more.[/i]

[i] She still can't bring herself to take his hand , she just gets up , dusting herself off. She stays staring at the floor.[/i]

[i] He steps over to her, lightly wrapping her in a hug.[/i] "Look, I know what it's like to lose people. And I'm sorry I was a jackass about it. And I'm sorry that you lost the only people you've truly known. But you've got to learn to live with it Echo." [i] He rubs her back, running his hand up and down her back lightly.[/i] "I know you can, because I can tell you're strong."

[i] She clenches her teeth her body stiffens under his touch, only time anyone ever touched her was after she'd endured a night of advanced interrogation. And honestly she felt better then than she does now,[/i]

That was her life. [/spoiler] " right now the only person who has hurt me is you" [i] she snipes as she continues to stare at nothing.[/i]

"I'm sorry." [i] He whispers, turning around and sitting down on a stump, pulling out the all black katana he had sheathed. The whole thing was blacked out, from the blade, to the hilt, to the wrappings and hand guard. He pulled a rag and began to clean it, faint, eerie shadows, complete darkness, seem to drip off the blade.[/i]

[i]She finds the point furthest from him, she sit with her back to him knees pulled up to her chin, and let's silent tears fall. [/i]

[spoiler]Shes doing a wonderful job at making Lance feel terrible.[/spoiler] [i]Ronin says nothing, but continues to clean his blade, his body shaking with anger at himself. Just like last time Lance. Nice fücking going. And you told yourself that it wouldn't happen again, he mentally screamed at himself.[/i]
