Eric stands his ground and aims the rifle at the approaching figures. He slowly makes his way towards a tree, should he have to climb in an emergency.

There are thousands of Horned Raxomajump barreling towards him, their giant jaws outstretched with twelve sets of razor sharp teeth.

Eric ignored his previous plan of climbing a tree, and makes a mad dash towards the nearby Dropship. He was a pilot; perhaps he could get himself and some others to safety.

They approach from that side, too, and are in the midst of destroying the drop ship and killing everyone inside.

The explosives inside of the dropship detonate, destroying several of the creatures, as well as the unfortunate marines inside. Eric hadn't made it inside, and the blast gives him time to run away into the forest.

There is a nearby gorge that gives way to a waterfall and a bay, but it is a giant jump. There is also a sinkhole to the right.

Without thinking further, Eric leaps off of the cliff, into the water below. He's a competent swimmer, but remains under the surface to avoid being detected.

The landing hurst a lot, but the water is much cleaner than the one in the sinkhole and looks drinkable. There is a rocky shore to the side of the bay, with an overhang above it. Decent shelter.
