How much space is Destiny taking up on your hard drive right now (System > Storage > Internal Hard Drive > Games & Apps > Destiny)? There is a size-able amount of patches that need to be downloaded once you start the game before you will be able to play (they are called compatibility packs if you are looking at the files on your 360 drive). Do you have any USB storage attached to your 360?

No I don't. When I first put in the game I got an update for about 170 MB I think
-
Any other updates on your 360 hard drive? There should be 5 or 6 files named "compatibility packs X", where X is a number. I think it's 5 through 9 or 10 now that need to be there.
-
Is there any way to download these without going to the game itself ?

I'm not aware of any way to download the patch files from another source to install them. For 360, I think they come from xbox live servers (you would see them under "active downloads", one at a time). Try clearing your system cache (solution 3 on this page: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/games/update-games , or https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539 ) and restart the game. It's supposed to tell you it is updating just like when you got the other title update. So you don't have any compatibility packs on your hard drive right now? Are you using an authentic Microsoft hard drive?

I only received the title update. Immediately after that, no logos, nothing, It just tells me I need a hard drive

Did you get a new 360 or did you have to re-install the game, or were you playing on another console a few weeks ago?

I was playing on my friends Xbox 1
