"I'm not sure we can access the data network you request."
for real tho I don't follow
Transmission: That is most unfortunate, however this unit can rig your communications systems to pick up on the spacenet signals.
so he's trying to search for any information on himself. His designation, his purpose, and how to find his creator.
-
so he's basically looking for a Wifi hotspot to google himself?
"Perhaps we should beam you on board first, to keep an eye on you. I hope you understand our reservations."
-
Transmission: That would be acceptable. This unit awaits your decision
In a way... He will access and retain any data he can find. Current events, recent battles, classified material. He's not going to be picky. He is however not hostile, I feel the need to stress this.
After taking all the necessary precautions, he is beamed on board, right on the transporter pad, where the Captain awaits him.
-
The imposing robot moves its head around scanning the room it is beamed into. It allows the security team to guide him to the captain. His movements methodical and eerily quiet. Standing in front of the shorter man allows everyone to see the machine of war clearly. He is roughly humanoid in build, taller by a few inches, his head does not resemble any living being, comparable to a sloped tank body. His visual sensors glowing a bright red. The Tan paint on his outer armor is dull, here and there it is clear he shows sighs of age. The designation number and name have long since faded from his chest. When he speaks his voice is clearly synthetic. "Captain, thank you for your permission to board."
-
"Glad to meet you as well. Now, about your Data issue, it seems we've gone out of luck. The people of this system do not make use of a Subspace frequency grid, they instead use this thing called the "inter-net", and we've been unable to connect."
-
"This is not an issue. Modifying the communications array to intercept both high and low frequencies at the same time will force it to allow entry. Or you could try to connect to the wireless interface."
-
"We've tried both of those, to no avail. It seems that our technology is simply too advanced to harmonize with this sector's. Perhaps we could drop you off somewhere..."
-
"Then this unit must continue onwards. Thank you captain for your hospitality."
