///.....Systems reboot engaged..... ///.....Power core functionality 100%..... ///.....A.I. Mainframe Operational..... ///..... Internal servos Operational..... ///.....Sensor input nominal..... ///.....Navigation chip Operational..... ///..... Memory data Incomplete..... ///.....Directive protect Unkown..... The Robot sparked to life and the systems inside began to boot up. The tube it was stored in remained relatively intact. It's sensors gathered its surroundings. The ship was derelict, the crew dead, the other robotic soldiers were offline. A bloody handprint was smeared on the front of the tube, he scanned it. The owner was that of his creator, Dr. Arkani. She had created the robotic soldiers to help humanity, to save lives on the battlefield. The Cyrillic lettering of the tube shattered as the A.I. Clenched its fist and burst out. It surveyed the ship, finding no survivors. It accessed the ship's armory and gathered it's weapons, An assault rifle of Russian make, a sniper rifle of similar origin. It strapped those to its back and headed for the bridge. Once there it activated the ship's computer linking with it and taking all necessary data. It still did not know its purpose or name. The Cyrillic lettering on its chest had faded too much to read. The computer showed the hanger still held many ships, the robot accessed them and warped unknowingly towards the (players). • As it travelled through warp, it came into contact with another ship. the ship was large, larger than the vessel he was travelling in. Warp speed made it hard to see, but on the top of the Ship's Saucer he could read something...
NXX 1207 R.C.S. ODYSSEY
• The robot accessed its memory banks for information on the ship, the markings and names but drew a blank. Its programming questioned what to do about this unforeseen instance. It tried to hail the ship on comms. Transmission: This unit is not hostile. Requesting data on current events and location. Requesting aid.

  • Transmission: This unit does not have a designation. Or a directive. This unit requires access to data servers.

After a brief whispered exchange with his first officer, the captain resumes. "What kind of data do you require? And what purpose will this Data have?"

  • Transmission: This unit requires more data before deciding its next course of action. Access to the data networks will allow for all needed information to be downloaded.

  • Transmission: That is most unfortunate, however this unit can rig your communications systems to pick up on the spacenet signals.
so he's trying to search for any information on himself. His designation, his purpose, and how to find his creator.
•
so he's basically looking for a Wifi hotspot to google himself?
"Perhaps we should beam you on board first, to keep an eye on you. I hope you understand our reservations."

  • Transmission: That would be acceptable. This unit awaits your decision
In a way... He will access and retain any data he can find. Current events, recent battles, classified material. He's not going to be picky. He is however not hostile, I feel the need to stress this.
• After taking all the necessary precautions, he is beamed on board, right on the transporter pad, where the Captain awaits him.

  • The imposing robot moves its head around scanning the room it is beamed into. It allows the security team to guide him to the captain. His movements methodical and eerily quiet. Standing in front of the shorter man allows everyone to see the machine of war clearly. He is roughly humanoid in build, taller by a few inches, his head does not resemble any living being, comparable to a sloped tank body. His visual sensors glowing a bright red. The Tan paint on his outer armor is dull, here and there it is clear he shows sighs of age. The designation number and name have long since faded from his chest. When he speaks his voice is clearly synthetic. "Captain, thank you for your permission to board."

  • "Glad to meet you as well. Now, about your Data issue, it seems we've gone out of luck. The people of this system do not make use of a Subspace frequency grid, they instead use this thing called the "inter-net", and we've been unable to connect."

  • "This is not an issue. Modifying the communications array to intercept both high and low frequencies at the same time will force it to allow entry. Or you could try to connect to the wireless interface."

  • "We've tried both of those, to no avail. It seems that our technology is simply too advanced to harmonize with this sector's. Perhaps we could drop you off somewhere..."
