"Yeah, she's my sister."
-
"Wait... What's your name?"
-
"Aaron Sawyer, Paladin."
-
He smiles. "Do you know a man named Andrew Raidriar?"
-
"I do."
-
"Then it is you. I've heard a lot about you, Sawyer."
-
"Good things?"
-
"Mostly."
-
"Heh. Specifics?"
-
"I'll tell you what he said later. Or we can wait for the exam to be over, and he can tell you himself. He's joining FN after the exam."
-
Sawyer looks pleased. "Great. How did he get here?"
-
"You know that look he gets in his eyes when he starts to fight? How he kinda just loses his mind, a bit. It's like there's nobody there anymore... He's changed since when I last saw him. As if he would kill in an instant. War changed him, and not for the better. He's shown... Prowess in battle. When I say prowess, I mean total annihilation."
-
Sawyer's smile dies. "Then it makes sense why he'd come to my team. How's Kara?"
-
"Not sure. I think she's doing good."
-
"Glad to hear it. Her niece, Six, just crash-landed here."
-
"I know. I already know her."
-
"She's nice. How do you know Raidriar?
-
"He's one of my best friends. He was even the best man at my wedding."
-
"I could tell. You didn't answer my question."
-
"I'm his friend. We met in the war."
