I agree with your post except for the part where you said, "This starts a very, very dangerous path for Destiny to be on." Many of us saw the MT's for what they were from the get go and tried to warn people where Bungie/Activision were headed. Each transaction has gone up in cost, from $2 for an emote or dance, to $5 for the premium dances, to $10 for the Log Book, and now this. At each turn Bungie/Activision grows bolder and bolder and as long as there are tools willing to buy this garbage, then it will continue to get worse.

  • I keep hoping no one buys in and then am saddened that idiots keep buying

  • This as well as the loss of what had to have been a tremendous revenue stream last year with successive DLC packs and a paid annual pass. All of that is gone this year with the announcement that there will be no DLC drops until Destiny [whatever] rolls out down the road. Perhaps Bungie sees a revenue bump here around Christmas but then what? I see a long dry spell ahead where there's no money rolling in. And Eververse Trading Co. is supposed to generate enough revenue to keep the developers rolling? Not selling cheap emotes it doesn't. I'm not surprised to see the price increase on emotes and then the log book for SRL. Come March I bet we start seeing weapons and armor being sold in there - same raid gear or comparable. And there won't be any explanation from Bungie on how they broke another promise. Not that they necessarily owe any of us one. It's a business afterall. I just wish they'd quit the shady stuff and be upfront and open with their intentions.

  • I really can't see Destiny getting a bump due to the holidays, but that's just my take on the situation. I can see them losing more players as the newer games will be given as gifts.
