Hello people,
I recently purchased the game (last week) and have not been able to get past the very first screen - the one that says connecting / signing in. At that point (after a few seconds) i get the "cattle" error screen. Here are things I have tried already:
Port forward to IP of the PS4: TCP 1935, 3478,3479,3480 UDP 3074, 3478, 3479
Connecting using WIFI (signal is pretty weak)
Connecting using Ethernet cable
Turning on UPnP (the result of that is 1 automatic port forward for the port 3074 according to the router's UPnP page)
Restarting the game
Restarting the console
Restarting the router
Checking the connectivity status in the PS4's settings - all looks good, NAT type = 2
Uninstalling, clearing cache, reinstalling twice
NONE of the above have any effect. Cannot get past the "cattle" error screen.
The router I have is a Linksys flashed with Tomato USB firmware. Port forwarding does work, I have set those up before for other applications. PLEASE let me know what to try because I'm loosing my mind here...

If you are hitting error code Cattle repeatedly, so much that it's blocking your ability to play Destiny, I highly advise taking a look at the Network Troubleshooting Guide.

Edited by Lostypoo: 12/16/2015 4:19:28 PMI see in your post that you haven't tried clearing your cache and uninstalling Destiny. These are good troubleshooting steps, but sometimes you have to do them in the following order to get the best result: 1) Uninstall ALL Destiny content and add-ons 2) Clear your console cache using the steps in this guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539 3) Reinstall Destiny using the steps in this guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12288
