I think his point is more so related to the systemic link to ToO in regards to when or where it began but to where it has ended up and the fact that it sticks to it. ToO has become the icon to which a finger can be pointed and now Bungie always uses ToO as a reason to change something when Sols absolutely right, almost no one plays.

  • I got what he was saying. But tying trials with how bungie Nerfs and buffs their weapons and then say that it's only a small percentage of people that play of which bungie caters the weapon updates to, can all be tied to how the gameplay is at the moment. If someone could go into any game and use what they liked and be successful then the player count wouldn't be so low. Even for tough competitive environments like ToO.

  • I agree with you to an extent, I'm not going to go as far as day remove PVP period but if you take away ToO you lose the ability to point the finger, ultimately it will get pointed at something else. The overall point is they aim their responses to these fixes at ToO. No one gives a crap about ToO lol

  • I can agree with that. Even though I'm one of the few who likes trials I'm not so foolish as to think that my needs outweigh those that like the more regular crucible.
