Trials is what? 10% of the PvP population? I am a PvP player since day 1, with a combined 9 days logged in the Crucible. I played PvP from lvl 5-20 on my first char, completely ignoring the singleplayer, until a Vex Mytho killed me once too often, and I decided that I need a better primary. It should also be of note that I don't play Trials. I went flawless on a my second or third try, and didn't play the mode again afterwards. 3vs3 elimination is not an enjoyable mode for me. I only played Control, IB and Rift matches seriously (meaning that I probably have 50 combined matches in other playlists). All the things you list here, needed a nerf. It's irrelevant if the Trials population wanted them or not. Thorn together with TLW (I mean, I liked Thorn, I'll be honest, and I was better than a lot of other people with it), were destroying the balance in 6vs6. The Sunbreaker was a much bigger problem in 6vs6, than he could have ever been in Trials. Pulse Rifles were better than Scouts at range, and killed faster than ARs close range. They needed a nerf. All these things were just as much of a problem outside of Trials, as they were within Trials. When one weapon type performs better in a range in which it wasn't intended to perform, then there's a problem. When one weapon reliably kills 3 times faster than anything else, there is a problem. When there's one super which overshadows every other, be it in terms of offence or defense, there's a problem. This also isn't a "git gud" issue. I'm already pretty gud. However, I wouldn't mind the removal of Trials. Maybe they'll implement a better competitive playlist then. (I have no idea what's wrong with Fusion Rifles and why Bungie just wants to destroy them. That one is way over my head, if it doesn't have to do with their P2P architecture not allowing them to perform, if they aren't OP)

Why, you don't like running down the same hallway over and over again to see who can snipe first? They've ruined pulse rifles, didn't buff auto rifles and nerfed Titans. Now it's all hunters with shadow shot, TLW and snipers. I mean TLW out guns any heavy machine gun!

That's pretty much why I don't enjoy trials. It's a camping convention. However, I absolutely agree with the nerfs to the Titan and the Pulse Rifles. They needed a nerf. The 0.04% AR buff must have been the biggest joke in the history of PvP games however.

Sunbreakers were the easiest super to avoid completely and not even have to deal with and could be shut down just like any other if players just kept their wits and didn't panic. Pulse Rifles were effective at scout range because they should be and always have been, but any decent player with a Scout was going to win that battle much more then they lost. Just because you feel something is OP doesn't make it so.

No, they weren't an issue for me, like you want to make it sound. They were an issue for the overall balance of the Crucible. When something is clearly better than something else, then it's unbalanced. For PRs, the question isn't if they are an issue for me, the question was if they dominate AR and SR, making them the best primary at every range. And depending on the archetype, this was the case. A Messenger/similar PR destroyed Scout Rifles at range, pre patch. The Hammer of Sol isn't even worth a debate at this point. It was the strongest super in the game, thus it got nerfed and deserved that. Bungie even posted the numbers. It was the subclass with the highest KD and the highest super kill %. We do have access to certain numbers, and Thorn usage was through the roof back then. And as I said, I like the weapon. I use it nowadays because it's finally usable again. I personally never had a problem with Thorn, as I am generally the better player when I face opponents. And Thorn vs Thorn goes to the better player (ignoring lag). I can say the last sentence to you as well: Just because you don't realise that something is OP, doesn't mean that it isn't. (I am a top 1% player in terms of score per game average in Control and suicides (evading Arcblades and Hammer of Sols. Well, and Shores of Time+blink))
