Book fixed in 24 hours, yet thorn took 8 months to fix, bungie cares about $ not players- 30 DOLLARS FOR LEVEL UPS ON PSN STORE LOL

Amazing how fast they put out a patch late at night to fix their wallet yet still screw over thousands of players with broken game mechanics. Hell, since TTK released the raid has had multiple bugs yet they go unfixed. Bungie in danger of losing some 10 dollar sales on their TWO MAP, ONE MODE "FREE EVENT"? patch overnight. If you still support them after this you're nothing but a silver sucking desticle. EDIT: let's see you defend bungie now, children. Cosmetics only, right guys? Paying for free dlc, right guys? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Shout out to people who waited months to get all 50 fragments and only got a timegated shader LOL

  • Seeing as how the entire free content is the same as another game I've seen somewhere around and just recently came out a while back (GTA 5.) It seems pretty strange how said other game is not selling exclusive content for dollars, the only microtransactions they have is in game money, and the content isn't exclusive to any console (Except for current gen consoles, sorry last gen.

I'm pretty sure that fixing the book was an easier feat than rebalancing a weapon type or fixing raid mechanics. Also how are you complaining about Thorn, an epidemic that has long been addressed already, when a weapon balance update was literally just published? Bungie has kept to their word on the basis of regular weapon balance updates thus far. There are problems with the current live game yes and everyone knows it and I'm not defending Bungie on that front, but this post is purely made just for someone to complain about anything at all, considering you're offended that they prioritized stealing (which in actuality should be content that's part of the base game anyway, but that's a different discussion) over game mechanics.

    • Bungie is a company, companies need to make a profit or they fold,I like the game and that's why I give them my money.

It's not surprising, of course they fixed it. Anything hurting their profits was bound to be a priority. But did they fix it completely, no. People who deleted things can't get it back, people with two or more of the same character can't get another set. Sure, that's coming, but they pushed out the fix that benefitted themselves straight away, with the players needs being addressed whenever. They fixed the engram glitch, great… but did they bother to reimburse the people who unknowingly wasted their engrams? Nope. Not like a boot engram glitch hasn't happened before either. Seems like they care less & less about the people playing the game, look at Tess for instance; sparrows & horns aren't sold individually… if they cared about the player, they'd let us buy exactly what we want, instead, they let us buy a chance at what we want, knowing some players will continuously gamble until they get it, going from one payment to getting several. Because Bungie are now snakes and are slowly turning the game into a story-less cash grab. Any new DLC in the foreseeable future? Apparently not… plans for more "free" events backed by extortionately priced items, yep, guaranteed. I know these things are optional, I don't think the micro-transactions are a bad thing, just the pricing. How is a basic feature like a record book deemed to be worth half the price of the Dark Below or House of Wolves DLC? It shows Bungie will dress up the most basic features and slap a price tag on it. Then add a "Vol. 1", so when the SRL conveniently leaves & no doubt returns, they can charge again for Vol. 2. It's a shame, but more effort goes in to lining their wallets than it does enhancing the player experience. TL;DR - Cashgrab.

        • They should've fixed it sooner it would suck to make that purchase and others get it free. Doesn't affect me though neither did thorn

        • NO FUTURE DLCs Instead we will get "Free" Events with microtransactions. This is why I made this topic. Fanboys, you ruined this game. This is what you will get!!!
With Taken King we are moving to a more event-based model - things like Festival of the Lost and Sparrow racing, which is our winter event, and then smaller events such as Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris every weekend.

Rather than doing these giant, monolithic DLC packs, this way everybody who's an owner of Taken King can enjoy these things.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/178774428/0/0/1

            • The whole Thorn issue was based on opinions. It wasn't really broken, just OP. There was a lot of love for the gun, I for one enjoyed the Thorn era, and didn't really mind getting killed by one. Bungie cannot hot fix something that has so many mixed opinions. The book however is clearly broken and needs fixing, plus the fact that some folks have actually spent money on it, it needed to be done asap

                  • Does this mean you are a silver sicking desticle? I mean, you did last play just an hour ago... Use a bit of common sense and see that some issues take priority. Things like mechanic changes, gun balancing and general fixes should be worked on, and then they should be pushed live in a patch, like they are now. If an item that costs 10 dollars of real money is being exploited for free by a select few while everyone else is physically paying for it, that requires immediate attention!

                            • The book issue was causing people who paid money to essentially receive nothing in return due to the fact that anyone could download the gear available. The thorn is was causing people who paid money to still be able to use thorn... Do you see why it was prioritised the way it was now? Nothing to do with Bungie's $$, but everything to do with the players's $$

                              • 1. A hot fix is different than a patch, hot fixes only take a couple hours 2. They fixed other things 3. Why do you care? Its an optional book, and who cares about the gear when you can earn tons of other gear by just playing? I feel like the only people who are salty about this situation are the people who exploited the glitch, yet still feel more entitled to the gear than the people who actually payed for it.
