"Thank you sir. I assume you're Alex's father?" [i] He nods toward her.[/i] "I was wondering if I could steal her from you for a second. I've got some questions about some homework we had. Sorry for interrupting you guys." [i] He said, turning up the charm on full.[/i]

"Well, I'd have to be there to listen in. I'm a very powerful man, can't have anything happening to my daughter, can I?" [b]He says, flashing a smile[/b]

[i] John snaps his fingers.[/i] "You're the infamous JT aren't you? My dads told me about you!" [i] He grins, showing him the inside of his wrist. In small swirling script it reads [b]May.[/b][/i]

"You're lances kid? Go on ahead man, tell your dad I say hi" [b]He says, walking into the shop, Alex not noticing[/b]

"Will do sir." [i] He grins and when he's gone, taps Alex on the shoulder.[/i]

"Can I talk to you? Like take a walk really quick? Preferably away from within 100 feet of your scary ass dad?

"You lances kid? He wouldn't dare touch you"

[i] He shakes his head.[/i] "Doesn't matter. Can I just have a word with you, alone?" [i] He says, glancing at the suspicious looking people around them. Dad said this guy was good but Jesus.[/i]

"Fine" [b]She says, walking down the street and activating a small radio in her jacket pocket inconspicuously[/b] [spoiler]Im telling you, more contingency plans lmao[/spoiler]

"Be back in a minute guys!" [i] John calls as he touches Alex's shoulder, and they're suddenly on a store rooftop a few blocks away.[/i] "Sorry, but you're dad has more security than the president. And can I just get out what I have to say before you send them to fetch you and kill me?"

[b]She deactivated the radio[/b] "Well, 50 countries consider him the head of a terrorist group, when really it's corporate warfare. Now what'd you want?"

[i] He steps slightly closer to her, with maybe 2 feet between them, and the usual grin is gone. He's being serious for once.[/i] "I wanted to apologize for being a jackass. I know I said yes to us being together, but I wasn't thinking straight. And I was an even bigger asshole when I broke up with you. Your incredibly beautiful and sexy and awesome, but I didn't want to jump into anything I wasn't prepared for. I want us to still be friends ya know?" [i] He says, his eyes slightly downcast, his fingers running over the box in his pocket.[/i]
