There should be a special version of the strike that you can find in the Director on Earth when you have this step of the quest active. It should be located very close to the normal version of the strike.

you should do what i did and spawn into a game at the boss when hes below half strength and go wild on the sniper shanks. the moral of the story-it's better to be lucky than good
