Thanks for posting. I am always interested in new understandings of animal intelligence. I think in general, animals are smarter than humans usually realize.
For example, I read that crows can recognize individual humans, warn each other which people to avoid, tell each other which are friendly, and bring gifts (little pieces of metal or shiny rock) in gratitude to kind humans. Use sticks and rocks to solve multi-step puzzles to get food.
