Leaked DLC image
I’m not sure how many people notice this, but there seems to be a lot of evidence that this is true. According to the image that was leaked long ago, the Vex Void DLC will take place on Mars and Venus. Where are the two tracks in the Sparrow racing league? Mars and Venus.
I don’t think this replaces Vex Void. Bungie has stated that this sparrow racing event lasts for 3 weeks. If the fanbase likes it, Bungie will add a permanent version in the future.
Some possible bad news is that although it doesn’t seem like sparrow racing will replace Vex Void, it may very well be a replacement for a raid. Luke Smith had an interview a couple weeks back, and he said that raid making isn’t easy, and it takes a lot of time, money, and effort. After he was done working on VOG, he got straight to work on King’s Fall (I don’t think he worked on Crota’s End). There might be an endgame activity related to sparrow racing, as a replacement for a raid.

However, the bright side is that if there is no raid in Vex Void, Bungie might be working on something big for Forge of Gods. It’s possible that Forge of Gods will introduce Europa as a new destination, which will probably have Fallen and Cabal. We haven’t seen those two races together besdes the Wolves of Mars quest. Europa would be a perfect opportunity for Bungie to do so (just like they made the Dreadnaught have Hive and Cabal).
If Forge of Gods is about a war between the Cabal and Fallen (just my prediction), it’s possible that there will be not one new raid but two! Honestly, I think that every species should have a raid in Destiny 1. I would rather have a Cabal raid and a Fallen raid and wait a few more months, than have 2 Vex raids and no Fallen raid. But that’s just my personal opinion. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
