If you played call of duty advanced warfare... Good for you if you didnt, but they had these advanced supply drop things they sold for real money. What was in them was totally random. It guaranteed a certain level of weapon based on the money you were paying, but could be duplicates of stuff you have gotten before.
This sounds similar, and just as much bs. Whoever came up with this random shit is just insane.

This isn't the same. The supply drops contain one use items that need to be duplicates so that you can get them again. If the emotyes are duplicates they are literally useless to you. This basically means that the content ISN'T worth the money you paid and this is where things get shakey for Bungie here in the EU.

Everything in the paid supply drop was permanent gear that you kept unless you outright sold it back for XP. Edit: Actually are you thinking of those "bonus" buffs you get that can make it so you get your next supply drop faster/free care package in game? Those are only found in non-paid supply packages. Premium supply packages were 100% weapons/armor (granted they could be weapons/armor you already had)

Ahh, but those aren't in paid ones. People would have a fit (I know I would have) if I bought a pack and out popped the "Get a free care package 2 min into the game" buff. Paid packages are all weapons & armor.

Are we sure the packages can contain duplicates? I know that's how the Festival worked, but you can't re-buy an emote you already have from Tess - it's marked as bought in her inventory. I wonder if the random bags will only give emotes you don't have access too. I wouldn't put it past them, though.

Ok first off Supply drops are in varieties such as Common, Legendary and Rare. In the common drops you have a chance to get a legendary or rare or maybe even an epic plus you get the cards. The legendary guarantees you a legendary and rare a rare. Mods, guns and skins are keepers but, you don't necessarily get anything new in each package! So I ask you again what are YOU talking about?

You really haven't played BLOps have you. Buffs were and are one use and you get those in supply drops. They need to be duplicated so you can get them again. Nice use of name calling while being wrong though.

I play blops all the time. This was in reference to aw. Im calling you an idiot because you are arguing it, but it doesnt matter if buffs.... (Which ive never gotten in an advanced supply drop in aw, btw)... Are one time use. Weapon variants are why most people bought supply drops for. The problem was they could keep giving you the same weapon variants and not that one you were hoping for. Like say i wanted the bal inferno, but kept getting obsidian steed. So i just wasted 20 bucks on all those weapon variants i already had. And that was what i was comparing it to. So next time you come in and make a comment, make sure your reading comprehension is more than s 4th grade level. K? Thanks.
