Shotguns in real life can kill from 25 yards away. If you knew anything about guns, you wouldn't think the range is an arms length. Snipers are made to be a long range weapon. Every single FPS I've ever played, there has been complaining about "hard scoping" and "they shouldn't be a 1 hit kill" for god sakes, a .22 caliber can kill you in 1 shot to the head. Think about what a 30-06 or .308 could do? Or even a 300! Have you ever shot anything before? My 300 short mag can blow a softball sized hole in a deer! The only thing they need to change is when you're being damaged you should zoom out. Other then that snipers are just fine the way they are. If you're going to compare real life to a video game, at least know what you're talking about before you make the comparison.
