Agreed on Zhalo. But I think the rest of that AR weapon class needs the buff.
Zhalo is already a very nasty weapon on smaller maps. A 7% damage buff could make it overpowered.

7% is only one more point of damage

Per bullet. In an automatic firing weapon. With the ability to chain damage to surrounding targets.

Patch 1.1.1, which broke ARs was sold to us in a similar fashion, "It'll just mean one more bullet to kill. That's all...."
-
Autos were bad long before that. It was the huge buff pulse rifles got in 1.1.1 that made them useless. We're just making autos good now and bringing pulse rifles down from being God tier. Autos also have a significantly shorter range than they used too.

No. ARs were the dominant weapon in PvP before 1.1.1 dropped in late Februrary, and it wasn't pulse rifles that took over. It was the exotic hand cannons. The damage buff that PRs received back then was simply just enouhg to make them (finaly) competitive. Bungie BROKE ARs because they raised the TTK to the point where they couldn't compete with other primary weapons in head to head match ups....and they couldn't deal enough damage to keep shotgun rushers at-bay. A problem that was made worse when patch 1.1.2 finished breaking fusion rifles as well. The OTHER weapon at the time that was keep to keeping shotgunners honest. All the subsequent buffs to ARs have been Bungie's efforts to undo what 1.1.1 did to ARs.

No. Autos had many nerfs before that. The only reason they were used was that no other weapons were very good and autos still had super range. When pulse rifles were buffed people finally had no reason to use autos. Then exotic hand cannons came into the picture and ruined everything.
