Like if somebody is raising money to get a transgender surgery because they feel as if they are a man(or woman) trapped in a women's(or mans) body, I wouldn't hate on them I would say "you go right on and do it if that's what you want" but I would never give them money to help.

If you're the kind of person who would refuse to acknowledge you friend's same-sex partner or something, that makes you a pretty big asshole.

Yeah I would acknowledge their partner as their boyfriend/girlfriend
