What are the advantages of going a stealth playstyle exactly. This is my first fallout and in Skyrim I would always stealth stab people and do massive damage and stuff and it was an essential part of the game. In fallout I don't really detect the same kind of vibe with the stealth, am I looking for something that doesn't exist or am I going about it the wrong way

Double damage with guns while sneaking, can be improved quite a bit. Max of 10x melee damage while sneaking with a melee weapon. Can plant grenades etc in peoples pockets while you're sneaking. And there's a mod for power armor that turns you invisible while crouching lol

Plus extra damage for silenced weapons and you can instantly kill a sleeping person with the sandman perk. It's good to play a stealthy character
